cold and stormy weather

what can i say.. i'm a bring on the cold kinda girl!! i love to dress in layers, curl up under a blanket.. would even enjoy reading a bit if i had the chance..
been having an insane inkling for some scrapping!! can't wait till my life allows me to get creative again..
my dear husband had a great idea. matyn is learning to type, so shawn suggested she get a blog!!! so please go check my little girl out @ www.matyns.blogspot.com she would love a comment if your up to it!!
and little old me, well, i'm writing Bible school exam in an hour and i'm tiniest little bit frantic!!!

my dream..

remember my other life.. the one where i'm a youth worker and i drive kids around on a semi regular basis.. at this stage i'm doing it on the back of my bakkie.. well, here she is, my dream car.. a Volkswagen Crafter it has 22 seats, reasonble great fuel consumpsion.. and i only need R460 000,00!! oh my God, i'm patiently, eagerly, excitedly, expectantly hanging in and waiting..

hey, i'm still here!!

hey there.. yes, i'm still here!! had such a great week last week and this week i'm still so excited and God just keeps on filling that with more of Him and more of Him!!
last week i was in Pretoria, for youth leadership training. my friend Willem went with me, so that was just great. i'd had some trying times before the training, times of stripping and change. so not everyday was a walk in the park, but praise the Lord, His plan is better than my plan.
so off i went for a week long training and it was so amazing. i almost want to say as life changing as being saved!!
yesterday, shawn and i moved the music shop around and i have to tell you that it looks just great!! i love the way it looks. we now have a small corner where we can just visit or where shawn can give his guitar lessons. it also opened up my office at the back that was starting to get very cluttered. So i threw rubbish away, finally took everything back to my house that seem to have found their way to my office.. it was so much fun. now my office seems open and beautiful!! i'm loving it!!
so you guessed it, i went home and started working on the 'CORNER'.. you know the one.. other people have a DRAWER, i have a whole corner. anyway, i sorted out, cleaned up, threw away!! it was so much fun.
so... after reading wilna's blog today, and seeing that she has also been cleaning, i think it's a thing in the air!! cleaning thing!!
so i like you.. i like me... i like God, 'cause He makes me free..

slow day in my fast life..

hi.. so, i forgot my laptop at home and now i find myself working on Matyn's computer. that means, a)you won't see any photos on this post, as she only has photos of Hannah Montana and Hillary Duff on her computer. and b) i am doing no work, as every thing is on my laptop. So i've found myself a nice phone, as my contract has expired and i really need to get a new phone.. the old one has been dropped so often that it is just not the same!!
on Saturday i went to a womans meeting in Phalaborwa, with stefani and the girl clan. we had a good meeting, but sadly i have to tell you that it was my last one. i've asked stefani to release me from woman's ministry. and why, well, several reasons.. the reasons i can write here, would probably be that my plate is just to full and i don't feel i'm giving my full and deserved attention to a ministry that she devotes her whole life to. and then there is the reasons that i don't type here, just 'cause i don't know who will be reading them.. lol.. you know the story, us girls need some secrets
camp time is closing in on us and it is both thrilling and very scary.. the biggest suprise, is probably going to be that i might not attend this one!!! i know, your all shocked and amazed! see we have been unable to find someone to come watch our children for the weekend and my babies are way more important than someone elses kids!! the camp is rather close to home, so i'll pop in and out, but will not be around for the whole thing. so, now we'll see if they have learnt anything!!
anyway..i'm going now.. take care..

nostalgic today!!

so today i'm feeling a little nostalgic.. just wish i had an old frilly dress and hat to put on, and sit in a garden somewhere and drink tea from a thin cup. i have a dear friend who just loves a small, thin, porcelain cup..today i feel like that.
around me things are in full rush mode, but in my heart they are settled and calm.
youth camp planing is on the way and i still have oodles to do in the next 2 weeks.. like get the food!! that reminds me, i need to phone a man about some meat...
the children are doing good, dagan and matyn are both watching a puppet show at a local church today, so they are excited.
I'm working and dreaming..

Dagan is 5!!

yes, feels like yesterday that he was only a baby and now, well, now he is a big little boy!!
dagan had a good birthday.. filled with all things sweet, lots of gifts and friends to play with. his day ended, with him almost falling asleep while he was still standing up..

I just love Spur!!! they pack out everything, they provide the games, the trampoline, the clean up crew!!! sounds like a dream.

anyway, my little worrior, go and do that which God has called you for!! go and bring in 'n harvest of plenty and have a ball doing it and serving God!!
